Careers at AEI

We build the automation software inside factories, machines and devices. This page covers current openings, our student programs, and how to apply. For the working culture behind it all, see who we are.

Why AEI

What you'd be working on

The software here talks to drives, PLCs, sensor ASICs and factory networks, and it stays in service for a decade after you ship it.

  • Your code runs a machine

Protocol stacks, embedded firmware and plant automation for device manufacturers, OEMs and silicon vendors. When a cycle budget slips by 20 µs, a real production line notices. Very little software gives you feedback that direct.

  • You get to go deep

Repeat, long-term customer relationships are the business model, so engineers stay on a domain long enough to actually master it (EtherCAT, a silicon family, real-time Linux) instead of rebuilding context every quarter.

  • Small firm, wide surface

A small team means the work does not arrive as tickets. You will read the standard, bring up the board, argue the design with a customer and write the handover. Engineering is the core, but sales, marketing and administration careers run here too. Pick the division that fits and say so in your application.

  • Mentored, not thrown in

University engagement, training camps and internships are how most people arrive. You join a team on a live project with someone senior beside you. No sandbox, and nobody left to sink.

Students

Student programs

We work with universities so you can see what industrial engineering actually involves before you commit a career to it. Several of our engineers started here as interns.

  • Summer internship

Short-term roles across all divisions during your break period. Apply with your resume and the subject line "Internship | Summer".

  • Regular internship / mandatory project

Six months to a year inside a project team, on industrial problem-solving and technology projects, or market research and digital marketing, depending on the division. Subject line "Internship | Regular".

How to apply

Three steps, no portal maze

  1. Pick your division

Read what each division does on the About page and decide where you fit: engineering, sales, marketing or administration.

  2. Send your resume

Email it to the careers inbox with the division (or the open role you're applying for) in the subject line.

  3. Talk to engineers

If there's a match you'll hear from the team you'd join, and the conversations are about real work, not puzzle interviews.
